How we use what you tell us when you book Christmas Day.
The Westmorland Inn uses the details you give on this site to take and run your Christmas Day booking. We don't use them for marketing and we don't sell them.
What we collect
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your arrival time, the number of adults and children, and your guests' names.
- Everyone's dish choices.
- Allergies, intolerances and dietary needs, if you tell us about them.
- Anything you add in the notes, occasion or access needs boxes.
- A record that your deposit was paid. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.
Allergy and dietary information
Allergies and dietary needs can be health information, which the law protects more carefully. We only keep it if you tick the box to say we can, and we use it only so the kitchen and your server can prepare your food safely. We delete it on 31 January 2027.
Who else handles it
- Stripe takes the card payment for your deposit.
- Resend sends your confirmation and reminder emails.
- Supabase stores the booking in a database hosted in Ireland, inside the EU.
- Netlify hosts this website.
Each acts only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Allergy and dietary information is deleted on 31 January 2027. We keep a record of the booking and payment for as long as we need it for our accounts.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you by emailing contact@thewestmorlandinn.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
